Green Chutney

2 whole
1 T
¾ t

3 cups
½ t
½ t
1 t
½ t
1½ T
to thin
serrano chiles
chopped onion
grated ginger

loose packed mint and/or cilantro
salt
roasted cumin powder (optional)
sugar - if mint
sugar - if cilantro
Lemon juice
yogurt and/or water

  • Puree first set then add the rest and puree. Add a few tablespoons of yogurt and/or water if needed. Two whole serranos will make a hot chutney that is medium when mixed with food. Add one or 2 more for very hot chutney.
